Last weekend, a team of 14 people including students, staff and local ecologists joined forces to undertake an afternoon Bioblitz of the Tolworth Court sports ground. Our aim was to find as many different species as possible...
Despite the rather soggy weather, enthusiasm was high, and during the 2 hour Bioblitz we had found and identified 71 different species of bird, insect, plant and even the odd amphibian!
Many thanks to all of the volunteers – your keen eyes and curiosity for wildlife were much appreciated.
Don’t worry if you missed out - a second Bioblitz will take place next year in the spring. To be put on the mailing list for biodiversity events like this one, please email biodiversity@kingston.ac.uk.
